Meet Alisha
Alisha De Lorenzo MS, NCC, LPC, SAC is the Founder of Living YES, LLC and The Living YES Foundation. She is a human connection expert working with individuals, schools, communities and organizations across the globe to awaken their individual and collective healing potential. Her experiences are rooted in the fields of education, wellness, mental health and social justice. She works at the intersection of social emotional learning, trauma & healing centered practices, equity & justice and individual and collective well-being. In her role, she serves individuals and groups to access innate wisdom and build community capacity through love, connection, belonging and healing to cultivate more inclusive places to live, work and grow.
Alisha received her Baccalaureate degrees in Health and Movement Sciences and Education. She has worked in public education as a teacher and Student Assistance Counselor for almost 20 years. She also served as the first Social Emotional Learning Coordinator in New Jersey, designing and implementing an integrative education model.
She received her Masters degree in Psychological Counseling and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She uses conventional and complementary approaches through a body-centered lens to help clients access physical, emotional and spiritual freedom. Identity and healing are centered on the therapeutic journey rather than left to the margins.
In addition, she has been trained in the Baptiste methodology and is certified in kids yoga through the Baptiste Institute.
Alisha is an experienced facilitator and speaker providing quality professional development to schools, organizations and businesses. She is a trusted partner with many government agencies and the top educational associations across the state including New Jersey Department of Education, New Jersey School Boards Association, New Jersey Education Association, New Jersey Principals and Supervisors Association and many more. Alisha has served over 10,000 educators, school leaders, parents and employees throughout New Jersey and beyond.
Through her non-profit, The Living YES Foundation, she works in partnership with the New Jersey Office of Resilience to advance the work of building self-healing community models and healing centered practices at the state, county and local levels through strategic committees, initiatives and partnerships.
She has been recognized for her dedication to the mental health field and for community organizing by receiving the Award of Excellence from the United States Army, Outstanding Alumni Award from Monmouth University, Outstanding Community Activism Award from the Monmouth County Latino American Society and the NJ Governor's Educational Service Professional of the Year Award by the New Jersey Department of Education.
